Dr. Rüçhan Kaya is the coordinator of strategy and policy at the Hazar Strategy Institute. He graduated from Sabanci University with a Bachelor of Arts in Social and Political Sciences in 2008. He received his Master’s Degree in 2011 at the Department of Political Science at the University of Florida, and completed his PhD as an Alumni Fellow in 2014 at the same institution. His primary field is Comparative Politics and his research focuses on development, energy security, resource politics, pipelines, transit countries, and post-communist space. He teaches courses on the Politics of Eastern Europe, Regime Studies, Comparative Political Economy, and the Politics of Russia and the CIS.
